Job Opportunities for Quality Assurance Inspection Personnel

Cooley Dennis and Denmon (CDD) has a joint
venture contract with the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers New Orleans District to provide
Construction Management and Quality Assurance
Inspection Services, and has immediate openings
for experienced Quality Assurance Representatives.

CDD is a vibrant company with 17 years experience
in providing Construction Management and
Construction Quality Assurance (CM/CQA) Services
to the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. CDD
has completed long term contracts with the
St. Louis District, Louisville District,
Little Rock District, Vicksburg District
and New Orleans District. The CM/CQA Services
have been provided for locks and dams, levees,
floodgates, floodwalls, drainage canals,
guide walls, dolphins, jetties, dredging,
revetments, stone dikes, buildings, and numerous
other types of flood control related projects..

Salary is $21.00 per hour plus benefits.

Job duties consist of:

  • Performing Quality assurance inspections
    on the construction contractor activities.
  • Assure work is performed in accordance with
    plans and specifications.
  • Document daily activities of the construction
    contractor including contractor’s quality
    control, work delays, safety requirements
    and etc.
  • Interpret plans and specifications and resolve
    differences when cost is not involved.
  • Witness and perform certain quality assurance
    tests.
  • Assure the construction contractor performs
    the three phase quality control inspection
    system properly.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of specialized construction management
    experience in concrete, earthwork, electrical,
    mechanical, dredging, revetment, debris removal,
    emergency repairs and heavy construction.
  • 2 years of general construction experience.
  • High School diploma.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
