• Red River Lock and Dam No. 5 for USACE-Vicksburg District
CDD provided quality assurance inspection and construction materials testing services in accordance with the approved Quality Control Plan and the contract requirements. The work inspected included excavation, embankment, backfill, concrete placement, reinforcing steed and installation of electrical and mechanical equipment. • Olmsted Lock and Dam
The $1.1 billion project for the USACE Louisville District included twin 110-foot lock chambers ($300 million) and a 2,200-ft wicket dam flanked by a 425-ft fixed weir ($300 million). • Montgomery Point Lock and Dam for USACE Little Rock District (CDD)
CDD provided quality assurance services which included construction quality assurance inspections of the lock and dam construction and materials testing in accordance with the engineering considerations, contract specifications, Quality Assurance Plan and as directed by the USACE Little Rock District. • Mississippi River and Tributaries: ID/IQ Contracts No. DACW38-96-D-0004 and DACW38-02-D-0001 for Construction Quality Assurance Services within the Vicksburg District. Both contracts were for one base year and four option years and covered a period of 10 years ending in 2006.
- Item 483R, East Carroll Parish, LA – included levee enlargement and seepage berm construction. Construction Costs was $20 million.
CQA services provided included verifying all contractor submittals & certificates; verifying and computing pay item quantities; insuring all tests required were performed; verifying all construction is to line and grade and assuring work is completed in a safe and workmanlike manner.
- Grand Ecore Project Visitor Center, J. Bennett Johnson Waterway, Grand Ecore, Louisiana, USACE-Vicksburg )
Provided inspection services for the subject visitor center overlooking the Red River near Natchitoches, Louisiana. Construction cost was $2.6 million.
- Pools 4 & 5 Comfort Stations, J. Bennett Johnson Waterway, Coushatta, Louisiana, USACE-Vicksburg
Provided quality assurance inspection services for the construction of a series of comfort stations located in Pools 4 and 5 of the Red River Waterway.
- Mat sinking operations for the USACE-Vicksburg District CDD provided QA services for mat sinking on the Mississippi River on a yearly bases for a total of eight years.
- Dredging Operations for the USACE Vicksburg District CDD provided Quality Assurance Inspection services for maintenance dredging operations on the Red River, Ouachita River and Mississippi River Harbors on a yearly basis for a total of eight years.
- East Goose Creek Bank Stabilization, Oxford, Mississippi, USACE-Vicksburg (CDD)
This work involved channel improvement and bank stabilization of East Goose Creek through downtown Oxford, Mississippi. Bank stabilization consisted of placement of riprap bank paving on filter fabric and stone bedding. Channel improvement consisted of channel realignment and enlargement. Construction Costs: $2.9 million.
- Pleasant Valley Revetment, Red River Waterway, USACE-Vicksburg (CDD)
This item consisted of stone dike and bank paving. Construction cost: $5.5 million
- Saline Bend, Larto and Lorran Lake Reinforcement, Mile 54 to Mile 34.5, Red River Waterway, USACE-Vicksburg (CDD)
These items consisted of stone placement for reinforcement to existing stone dikes and stone bank revetment.
- Emergency Bank Protection, Hurricane Revetment, Phase II, Mile 326.3 to Mile 375.0, Red River Waterway, Lafayette County, Arkansas, USACE-Vicksburg (CDD)
This work consisted of stone placement for dike construction and revetment construction. Construction cost: $2.6 million.
• Contract No. DACW43-94-D-0515. IDIQ contract with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – St. Louis to provide Construction Quality Assurance duties and related services.(CDD)
- Seventeen (17) contracts consisting mostly of levee repairs and improvements in the St. Louis – East St. Louis area with a total construction cost of $17.5 million.
- Four (4) levee repair contracts in the Cape Giardeau area.
- Stump Lake I & II Levee Repair and Environmental Restoration Project.
- Lock and Dam No. 24 Bridge Column Repair
- Swan Lake Levee Repair and Restoration and Environmental Restoration Project.
• Contract No. W912P8-06-C-0034 for Quality Assurance Services in Support of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in Designated Parishes in Louisiana, New Orleans District
CDD was awarded the $22 million contract No.W912P8-06-C-034 by the New Orleans District to provide 100 Quality Assurance Inspectors for the Debris Mission in support of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. QA Inspection services were provided in Sector 2A, Orleans Parish, LA, and involved all phases of the debris reduction missions from white metals to demolition.
• Contract No. W912P8-07-D-0067 for Construction Management Services primarily within the limits of the New Orleans District.
CDD, in the Joint Venture with ECM of Metarie, Louisiana, was awarded a $65-million contract by the USACE New Orleans District to perform a broad range of Construction Management, Quality Assurance activities, Engineering, and related services in accordance with construction plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the New Orleans District.
