  • BP Oil Spill Berm, East of the Mississippi River along the Chandeleur Islands for the New Orleans District, Corps of Engineers

The BP Oil Spill berm was a part of the $360 M proposal to protect grasses, shrimp larvae and terrapin turtles from the BP Oil Spill. The dredging contract built a 6-foot high, 300 foot wide sand berm along the Chandeleur Islands by dredging using a dust pan dredge.

  • Baptiste Collette Maintenance Dredging 2008, Mississippi River Mile 6.2 to Mile 9.5, for the New Orleans District, Corps of Engineers

Contract provided for a cutter head dredge to maintain a -16 MLG X 250 feet channel from mile 6.2 to mile 9.5 in the jetty and bar channel.  The dredged material was used for wetland development and to create and manage a bird island.

  • New Orleans Harbor Maintenance Dredging, 2008 & 2009, for the New Orleans District, Corps of Engineers

Contract provided for a cutter head dredge for the removal and satisfactory disposal of shoal material within the New Orleans harbor reach of the Mississippi River and adjacent lock fore bays of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway

  • WBV – 90- GIWW-West Closure Complex, Algiers Canal Dredging, for the New Orleans District, Corps of Engineers

This work included excavation by dredging for a gated closure structure located south of the confluence of.   Harvey and Algiers Canals Approximately 700,000 CY of excavated material were dredged from the Algiers Canal, of which 500,000 CY of dredged materials were used beneficially for marsh restoration in the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. >> See full description >>>>
