Project: Montgomery Point Lock and Dam Laboratory Testing and Quality Assurance and Inspection to the Little Rock District for Construction

Description: Contract to provide Quality Assurance Testing and Inspection services for construction of the Montgomery Point Lock and Dam.  The quality assurance services provided included quality assurance inspection services associated with the construction of the lock and dam and the required quality assurance materials testing in accordance with the Engineering Considerations and Instruction for Field Personnel, contract specifications, Quality Assurance Plan and as directed by the Contracting Officer.

Laboratory Testing services provided under this contract consisted of providing experienced personnel to accomplish the sampling, testing, recording and reporting of results of all laboratory tests in accordance with Corps of Engineers standards.  Testing services were provided in a modern and fully equipped on-site laboratory provided under the contract requirements.  Laboratory equipment provided by Cooley Dennis and Denmon included scales, shakers, ovens, curing tanks and other equipment required for Testing for soils, concrete, aggregate, etc.  All laboratory test results reporting was on a daily basis.

Quality Assurance Inspection services consisted of providing quality assurance inspection and related services in accordance with orders issued by the Project Engineer.  The types of quality assurance inspection required consisted of excavation, embankment and backfill placement, placement of reinforcing steel, and concrete batching and placement.
